Library more accessible for disabled...Tyler Rush Memorial Scholarship car & truck show
Release Date: October 12, 2017

It will be much easier for the disabled and elderly to get to and from the library –thanks to a new curb cut that we installed at the entrance Greenburgh Library.  We reduced the size of the large circle at the entrance to the library –which will make it much easier for cars to pass those cars that stop to drop off or pick up library patrons. See photo attached.

The Theodore Young Community Center is celebrating their 50th anniversary.   Last night the first of two celebrations was held. Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young, an American diplomat and civil rights activist spoke. Young served as executive director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and was a close confidant to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Saturday there will be another event: a community breakfast at the Theodore Young Community Center at 9 AM. This event will bring together staff, community partners and longtime supporters of the center. The breakfast introduces the inaugural class of the Theodore Young Community Center Hall of Fame.  We hope you can join us as we salute the center.
