The Greenburgh Town Board approved an license agreement with a private business to construct and operate a temporary indoor tennis facility at East Rumbrook Park beginning in October of this year. This is a win-win for everyone! We will provide our residents with indoor tennis from October 1 to April 30. The company that is contracting with the town will be renovating the existing bathroom at Rumbrook Park at their expense. They also are replacing the fence at their expense. The town will generate revenue for the two courts. In year one we will receive $25,000. The rental amount increase annually. In year 15 we will receive $38,072. Greenburgh residents will receive a 10% discount on court time and lessons. Rumbrook Park is located off of Dobbs Ferry Road. Over the years a number of residents who love tennis have asked the town to pursue indoor tennis opportunities. Very pleased that we are able to be responsive to this concern at no cost to the taxpayers. And during the spring, summer and early fall season the court will continue to operate as a town tennis facility. PAUL FEINER
