At the last meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board, we appointed William Aguilar, Carmine DiPasquale, Hugh McAuley, Major John Daskos, Edward Mallicoat, Joseph Rocca, Victor Viera, and Steve Wittenberg to the Veteran Advisory Board, for a term to expire December 31, 2017. The committee will meet the first Monday of each month at the Town Hall (first meeting is January 4, 2016) at 10 AM.

The goal of the committee is to  identify resources for military Veterans encompassing Veteran’s benefits, education, and networking. The committee will also organize the annual Veterans Day ceremonies at the soon to be constructed new Veterans memorial park on East Hartsdale Ave. That park will be constructed by Veterans Day, 2016.  The committee will also be responsible for ensuring that the 150 interviews of the veterans who are participated in the Living history initiative are aired on public access TV on Memorial Day and Veterans day weekends.
