Hartsdale train station roadway-DOBBS FERRY SONG DEDICATED TO VICTIMS IN PARIS & SAN BERNARDINO
Release Date: December 19, 2015

HARTSDALE TRAIN STATION ROADWAY UPDATE
Some commuters have asked about the work that has been taking place near Starbuck's at the Hartsdale train station.  The  construction work created some inconvenience to commuters. The sidewalk in front of the work area was recently repaired. The roadway was  regraded. This will eliminate ponding and icing at the crosswalk near the entrance to the train overpass. We  hope work will be completed this coming week.

DOBBS FERRY'S 5th GRADER'S SING SON DEDICATED TO VICTIMS OF TRAGEDIES IN PARIS AND SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA -- WATCH VIDEO  LINK BELOW "SHE HOLDS HER TORCH FOR ME",
For New Year's 2016, the Dobbs Ferry Springhurst Elementary School 5th grade Harmonaires celebrate Lady Liberty and dedicate this song, "She Holds Her Torch For Me," to our friends in Paris, France, our fellow citizens in San Bernardino, California, our families across the USA and of course New York City, home of the Statue of Liberty...Let Freedom Ring!

The music was written by  Springhurst Music Teacher George Swietlicki with words by Felicia Needleman and Dobbs Ferry parent Laurence Holzman from the Springhurst concert "We All Are America," an original musical about immigration. George Swietlicki and his Harmonaires have received national attention in the past. When I was first starting my career in government I remember how excited the community was when the Harmonaires were invited to perform at the White House!  He is a real asset to our community.
We hope you enjoy this poignant tribute!
