TUESDAY IS ELECTION DAY FOR LOCAL RACES AND JUDICIAL POSITIONS
Release Date: November 01, 2015

Tuesday is election day.  The League of Women Voters of Westchester County has prepared a voters guide which can be found on www.Vote411.org.   On Tuesday voters will have the opportunity to elect a NYS Supreme Court Judge, two County Court Judges, a Surrogate's Court Justice, members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators,  Mayor & Trustees in Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Greenburgh Town Supervisor, Town Board members, Three Town Justices.

There is also a referendum on a county charter change that would provide Legislators with more time to review the County Executive's proposed capital budget and operating budget.

There is an interesting article in City & State about why voter turnout in NYS is so low. http://www.cityandstateny.com/articles/politics/campaigns-and-elections/the-nonvoters.html#.VjYXxWddHIV
