Greenburgh Library salutes Judy Chriss tonight

The Greenburgh Library will salute Judy Chriss tonight, October 29th from 6 to 8:30 PM.  Judy is the former head of the Greenburgh Library Foundation. Thanks to her leadership and fundraising abilities the library was provided with furniture, computers, technology, self check machines and so much more. She has been a great asset to our community and has helped make our Greenburgh Library one of the best libraries in the region
Hope to see you tonight - as we salute Judy for her outstanding contributions to the town

Judy Chriss was President of the Greenburgh Public Library Foundation from January 2006 through June 2015.  Under Judy Chriss’s leadership and tireless dedication the Foundation:
  • Provided the Library Computer Training Room with furniture, computers and smart technology
  • Furnished the Multipurpose Room with audio visual equipment and smart technology
  • Facilitated the installation of self-check machines in the Library’s lobby
  • Donated $25,000 to purchase reading materials for the Library during a fiscal budget crisis
  • Purchased iPads and learning apps for the Children’s Room
  • Raised over $100,000 for the Library through the Books & Cooks fund raising event
