MOTHER OF HIT AND RUN VICTIM NEEDS FUNDS FOR BURIAL- FIRST COMMUNITY CHURCH HELPING
Release Date: June 11, 2015

Earlier this morning a neighbor of the woman who lost her son in a hit and run accident on South Road  this week stopped by my office me and mentioned that the woman did not have funds to bury her son. How sad and tragic.  I contacted Rev. Leroy Richards of First Community Church of the Nazarene. The Rev and church are setting up a fund to assist the mother with the expenses. Please  help your neighbor during this time of difficulty and need.

HERE IS THE ANNOUNCEMENT. I JUST SPOKE WITH THE VICTIM’S MOTHER AND GAINED HER APPROVAL.

Dear Friends,
The Greenburgh Police Department is currently investigating a suspected hit and run incident on South Road resulting in the death of 23 year old Darryl Chung. Mr. Chung was walking home from his night job when he was fatally stuck. His body was found on the front lawn and near the road  around 6:00am last Tuesday morning. This young man lived with his mother and assisted with paying the rent for their small apartment. This mother is economically challenged and is in need of financial support to bury her son, even as she grieves his passing. First Community Church of the Nazarene is in contact with the mother and will be setting up a fund to assist this mother with the expense for the burial. Contributions to the fund can be mailed or brought to the church at

First Community Church of the Nazarene
2101 Saw Mill River Rd, White Plains, NY 10607.
(914) 347-2601
Checks should be made out to First Community Church; The memo section should designate the contribution as The Darryl Chung Fund. A letter of appreciation will be provided, subsequently.
With Gratitude
Rev. Leroy Richards
