CONGRESSWOMAN LOWEY TO SPEAK AT TOWN BD MEETING TOMORROW...POPHAM RD BRIDGE CLOSURE FRIDAY..LIBRARY

Congresswoman Nita Lowey will be attending the Greenburgh Town Board meeting tomorrow night at 7:30 PM. The Congresswoman willl be donating a flag to be flown outside Town Hall that was flown over the Capitol in Washington DC. She will also address the Board members and attendees updating them on her current work in Washington and how this impacts her constituents locally.


POPHAM ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE
In conjunction with the Popham Road Bridge Replacement Project, the Popham Road Bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, until 6:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012. The Bridge closure is necessary for contractors to install the new concrete structural deck on the south side of the Bridge which requires approximately 24 hours to set. Westbound Popham Road vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Scarsdale Avenue west to Harney Road and north to Garth Road back to Popham Road. Eastbound Popham Road vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Garth Road east to Harney Road and north on Scarsdale Avenue back to Popham Road. During this construction activity, pedestrians must use the Metro-North and Freightway Parking Garage pedestrian bridges to cross over the Metro-North Railroad tracks.
