Members of the Greenburgh Town Board worked hard, reviewing aspects of the proposed budget on Tuesday. We met all morning and reconvened Tuesday evening--adjourning after 11 PM. We had discussions with the Commissioners of Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Theodore Young Community Center and the Town Clerk. On Wednesday evening (tonight--am writing this after midnight!) the Town Board will hear a detailed presentation from the Citizens Budget Oversight Commission. The presentation will start around 7:30 PM and will probably continue till after 9 PM. Their lengthy analysis of departments in town government and their budget recommendations will be posted on the town website: www.greenburghny.com later this week. Because we expect the public hearing on the budget and public comments to start late in the evening, the Town Board has scheduled two additional public hearings on the budget--Tuesday, December 6th at 8:30 PM and Wednesday December 14th at 7:30 PM.
