WANTED: NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY LIAISONS

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced plans to appoint

neighborhood community liaisons beginning this fall. The neighborhood community liaisons

will meet periodically with the Supervisor as a group and individually.

Neighborhood community liaisons will be asked to assume the following

responsibliities: l) attend meetings with the Supervisor; 2) conduct community outreach on

issues of importance. Outreach could include door to door canvassing on

specific issues to determine community views; phone calls to neighbors soliciting

their feedback on issues; organizing house coffees on specific issues;

3)organizing neighborhood beautification/quality of life improvement drives; 4)advising

the Supervisor of problems that specific neighborhoods have and following up

on the complaints; 5)providing Town Boards (Planning/Zoning/Town Board) with

feedback from the community. Liaisons will also work with the Supervisor on

budget issues.

Neighborhood community liaisons will be appointed by the Supervisor and will

report to him. Positions will be non salaried. If you're interested in being
