Board votes for energy efficiency programs

The Greenburgh Town Board voted to sign a letter agreement with the NY Power Authority to implement energy conservation and efficiency measures in town facilities. Such measures are expected to save money for the town and to serve as a model for the community. We're concerned about the limited fossil fuel energy resources available, dependence on foreign oil and the impacts of energy production and distribution on the environment. 4 of the 5 members of the council voted yes, one abstained.
