victims of the fire last week that there are no vacancies in the Scarsdale

Fairway apartments (300 S Central Ave) for them to be housed in temporarily until

the apartments are rebuilt. This is creating problems for the tenants--who are

finding it very difficult to relocate. A good number have no insurance. At

least one has 2 dogs. Can we trust the owners of the building that there are no

vacancies? I'm not sure......an ad that appeared in the June 7th and 8th issue

of the Journal news (page l3G) says the following: L(.)L(.)K! Hartsdale The

Scarsdale Fairway SPACIOUS 1 & 2Br's luxury gardent apt. Great closet space,

ac, w/w carpet, dish washer, terraces, great location. I believe that if there

are vacant apartments the landlord/owner should be required to rent the

apartments to the tenants who live in the same complex.
