you are invited to hear the Governor in Elmsford today talk about taxes & deductions...save the date
Release Date: April 17, 2018

Washington has launched an all-out direct attack on New York’s economic future and we are fighting back against the federal plan and the loss of both income tax deductibility and property tax deductibility.

The NYS Legislature and Governor approved a budget on April 1  that may allow residents to get around the federal law that limits tax deductions by creating the ability for residents to make a charitable donation to schools and local governments in lieu of their tax bills.  Charitable donations are tax deductible.

Governor Cuomo will be in Greenburgh  today to announce details -how the law will be implemented at the local level. You are invited to attend the Governor's presentation TODAY in Greenburgh for an important announcement that will impact all New York taxpayers.  After the presentation I will post a summary of the highlights of the Governor's announcement.

If you would like to attend --please e mail the Governor's regional representative at the following e mail address.

I hope to see you there!

PAUL FEINER

EDGEMONT STUDENTS RAISING FUNDS TO COMBAT CANCER--REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
Join us on May 20th for the Colors Against Cancer 5K! It's a color run from 9am-11am that takes place around Edgemont in honor of Taylor Matthews, an Edgemont student who passed away from bone cancer at age 16. Participants wear all white and are splashed with non-toxic color powder along the route. You can run, walk or jog, and all the proceeds go to Tay-Bandz, Taylor's foundation that funds pediatric cancer research. It's a lot of fun, and we hope you can make it! Register here: https://raceroster.com/events/2018/16438/2018-colors-against-cancer-5k

Last year's event was very successful-- 275 people came out to support the fight against cancer, and we are hoping for even more this year! Below I attached the event's logo, a picture from last year's run, and our flyer. I think visual images like these do a lot to rally support!

Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you so much for your help.

With great appreciation,
Twyla Kantor
