GRB CHURCH WITH FAMILY MEMBERS WHO LOST THEIR POSSESSIONS DURING HURRICANE ASKING FOR DONATIONS
Release Date: September 25, 2017

Many members of the First Community Church of the Nazarene which is located at 2101 Saw Mill River Road in Greenburgh  have relatives in Dominica, a Caribbean island that  was destroyed during the recent hurricane.  After the hurricane NBC TV mentioned that the island was left in ‘war zone conditions’. Another publications called Dominica a “giant debris field.”  “Brutally hit” , “mind boggling damage to Dominica” are some of the headlines  from other media outlets.

If you would like to help victims of the hurricane who have ties to the Greenburgh community you can drop off items beginning Saturday, September 30th from 11 AM to 5 PM. The church will continue to collect donations daily at the church.

Preferred donations: water, sanitizer, canned goods, tarpaulin, toilet paper, feminine products, baby food/formula, baby and adult pampers, sleeping cots/new bedding, toothbrushes and toothpaste.   The church is coordinating the effort with the Dominica Consulate General and the Dominica Permanent  Mission in New York (counsulateofdominica@gmail.com or 212 599 8478).

Pastor Leroy Richard can be reached at 261 8107.  Please help those who need our assistance. Greenburgh residents have always cared about the less fortunate.

Hi Paul, I finally was able to get the attached DROP OFF FLYER ON THE DOMINICA RELIEF EFFORT. As you can see First Community Church of the Nazarene has been designated as the Westchester Drop off site for the relief effort.  Please also note the drop-off date. This too is significant. Please assist us in getting this word out as soon as possible. Thanks. Pastor Richards
