GREENBURGH TO GET HIGH SPEED GIGABIT SERVICE BY EARLY 2017--TWICE AS FAST!
Release Date: September 20, 2017

Some fantastic news! Just got off the phone with Dan Ahouse, area director for government affairs for AlticeUSA (previously known as cablevision). Greenburgh will be one of the first communities in the area that will receive high speed gigabit service (1000 megabits) ---twice as fast as their fastest product.  Altice spent recent months wiring the town and is getting closer to offering the service. The town has been wired and service is expected to be offered to residents late this year or early next year.

It’s important that our businesses and residents have the ability to access super fast, high capacity, ubiquitous broadband networks delivering speeds measured in gigabits. Julius Genachowski, chair of the FCC stated in an article in Forbes (Jan 18, 2013)  gigabit service “is essential to economic growth, job creation and US competitiveness.”

Altice is going to make it easier for the town to attract and keep more high quality businesses to our town. And, residents will enjoy this amazing service as well.  Glad we are  a community that will be offering our businesses  and residents strategic bandwidth advantages.

SOME MORE GOOD NEWS---ECONOMY INTERNET –AFFORDABLE OPTION FOR HOUSEHOLDS THAT QUALIFY FINANCIALLY

PAUL FEINER

From Altice…

Now more than ever, the Internet connects people to one another and provides access to information critical for health, social services, education and more.

While the majority of households with school-aged children have broadband access at home, low-income households make up the majority of those that still do not.   The same holds true for senior citizens – with only half of low-income seniors connected to broadband at home.

Altice USA is pleased to announce the launch of Economy Internet, an affordable option for fast, high quality Optimum Internet connectivity at home for households that qualify for the National School Lunch Program and senior citizens that qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).  This service is available to new Optimum Internet customers.

Details of the service can be found at www.geteconomyinternet.com, on the attached flyers and at the bottom of this email.

We hope that you will share information about Economy Internet with your constituents, help raise awareness via social media (#alticeconnects.com), and partner with us to educate qualified households on the benefits of broadband adoption.
