Robbie Saltaire will kick off Hartsdale Farmer's market concert series this Saturday morning in front of the Hartsdale train station

Robbie Saltaire will be the first of many performers at the Hartsdale Farmer's market concert series this Saturday morning, June 3rd, in front of the Hartsdale train station.  The performance is family-friendly, free of charge.

 Robbie grew up with an older brother, as well as a whole family who holds an extensive musical background. His father was a songwriter, and his mother was a dancer -- both of whom were salient influences on his musical identity and career. Growing up on rock and roll radio every Sunday night, he has taken a penchant for blues and rockabilly music, citing influence from Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Carl Perkins, and Chuck Berry, amongst many others. As an individual deeply committed to promoting social justice, his egalitarian values parade ardently with his music. On his song entitled Women Are the Ones Who Should Rule the World,Robbie laments humankind’s history of chaos when leadership roles are left in the hands of men. While his delivery can be rather tongue-in-cheek at times, the message in his music is far from that. Robbie’s catalog of music can be found on both iTunes and youtube.com.

Aside from writing and performing music, Robbie’s past occupations have involved journalism, corporate training, and teaching, as well as working at the world-renowned original Papaya King at 86th and 3rd Avenue. Now focusing on his music career, he currently resides in the town of Greenburgh with his family, and has been for 25 years.

The forthcoming Concert Series marks the 9 year anniversary since its commencement. The Concert Series will take place on every Saturday from June 3rd to August 26th, from 10am to 1pm.
