Release Date: November 17, 2016

PLANNING MEETING FOR NEW GROUP OF COLLEGE GRAD'S LOOKING FOR WORK--TODAY
HONORARY STREET NAMING UNVEILING FOR BISHOP TUCKER

Recently I announced plans to form a networking group to help recent college graduates who are looking for employment.  A few of the graduates and a career coach will be meeting this afternoon, Thursday, November 17 at 5:30 PM at Panera Bread at the Midway Shopping Center. They will plan activities for the coming year. You are invited to attend the meeting. E mail michaelhsacks1993@gmail.com for more info.

The Greenburgh Town Board recently approved three honorary street sign designations. On Friday there will be an unveiling of the Bishop Stephney Tucker Way at the corner of Manhattan Ave and Oak near Christ Temple Church. Bishop Tucker was a well respected and loved leader of the church for many years. He was the founder of the church and did a lot for our community.  The ceremony begins at 1 pm.

COLLEGE IS EXPENSIVE--MORE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS!
I received this info about 2 other college scholarships. Last week I posted info about a $6000 scholarship for a student who writes a winning essay on alcohol related issues.

Thank you so much for supporting AlcoRehab.org Scholarship and helping us to raise awareness of the alcohol-related issues.

Also, I'd like to ask if you could share another two great scholarship opportunities with your students.

The first one is offered by our sister organization Quitday.org that encourages people to fight their tobacco addiction and live healthier lives, and the second one is offered by MigVapor.

They both are essay contests and $3,000 in scholarships are being awarded to students who share their vision of the smoke-free world each semester.

Both scholarship contests are open to undergraduate and graduate students who are 18 years old or older.

Applicants must be accepted to, or currently enrolled in a college or university located within the United States or in the District of Columbia.

You can find some more information here: https://quitday.org/scholarship/
