GOOD NEWS! GREENBURGH TOWN BOARD TRANSFERS NO KILL ELMSFORD ANIMAL SHELTER TO PAWS CROSSED
Release Date: March 24, 2016

Good news. The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously voted to authorize the Town Supervisor to execute a donation agreement between the town of Greenburgh and Paws  Crossed Animal Rescue to transfer a parcel located at 100 S Warehouse Lane, formerly known as Pets Alive to Paws Crossed to be used as a no kill animal shelter.

Pet's Alive had shut down the former Elmsford animal shelter in September of last year. The shelter has a group of very dedicated volunteers and supporters -- it is the only truly no kill animal shelter in the region. I'm thrilled to highlight this very happy ending. Hundreds of animal rights advocates were devastated when the shelter closed last year.  Special thanks to Town Board members Francis Sheehan, Ken Jones, Diana Juettner and Kevin Morgan for being so supportive of the shelter and working hard to make this happen.

News 12 aired a story about our exciting meeting (still trying to iron out some problems on my computer so cut and paste this link)
