GREENBURGH RECEIVES $247,220 FROM CDBG FUNDS FOR SIDEWALK FROM GREENBURGH HOUSING ON SECOR ROAD
Release Date: January 26, 2016

I am pleased to advise you that the town was just awarded a grant from the CDBG program that will make pedestrian walking from the public housing at 65 Secor Road to Saw Mill River Road safer!  This new sidewalk should be built this year.  Will make it safer for pedestrians to walk to the bus stop and to the Ardsley business district.

The following info appeared in the news release about the grant.
Town of Greenburgh
•$247,220 to the town for the installation of Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalks in and around the existing public housing at 65 Secor Road. The complex currently has no sidewalks to connect the main street thoroughfare to facilities and services. The town seeks to eliminate the barriers that disconnect portions of the existing sidewalk infrastructure.

She is inviting  residents of  Greenburgh, Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hastings and Irvington to join us for an Interest Meeting for the new Relay For Life of the Quad Villages! The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry.  The Interest meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 is open to all who are looking to learn more about the event and to see how they can help or get more involved.

Please come out and discover all the details about Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, which is making its debut in the Quad Villages (Ardsley, Dobbs, Hastings, Irvington) on Friday, May 20!

As many people know, Relay For Life celebrates cancer survivors, remember those we have lost to cancer and fight back against a disease that has taken too much from all of us.  It’s an overnight event where teams of families, friends or co-workers camp out while someone from their team is walking the track all night long, to represent the journey of a cancer patient.  It is truly about a community coming together in the fight against cancer.
