KISHUYA RAMEN NOODLE BAR AND IZAKAYA  163 S Central Ave, Hartsdale

Up until recently, ramen has been considered a rare and limited cuisine, found exclusively in popular areas of New York City. Finally, this special and unique delicacy can be offered from a local and accessible location without the need for long travel and commitment to the city. Kishuya ramen provides the quality and taste of authentic ramen and brings it closer to home.
“What is ramen?”
Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup that can be broadly categorized by its three main ingredients: Unique noodles, rich soup and variety of toppings. Almost every locality in Japan has its own variation of ramen. “Shoyu-Tonkotsu,” one of many is a famous and much-enjoyed specialty of Wakayama (formerly known as Kishuya).
Kishuya is conveniently located in the heart of Hartsdale on Central Park Avenue, and is a mere five minutes away from the local Metro North train station. This prime position enables visitors from all over New York to visit the establishment with ease.

Located on 163 S Central Avenue in Hartsdale Plaza Once inside, one can find themselves appreciating the contemporary interior and serene atmosphere, contributing to the wonderful innovative dining experience we strive to deliver to our customers. Our well-furnished, wooden tables and chairs; complemented with our luscious red booth, allow families to dine in with true comfort and stability. With our unique, and spherical overhead lamps, a tranquil, peaceful ambience can be provided to customers regardless of the time of day. Kishuya also proudly hosts a long, well-polished, wooden bar section of the restaurant placed directly towards a large transparent glass window; offering a glimpse into our pristine kitchen, where the soulful dish is created. This transparency that is created between the customer and the chefs, allow customers to experience firsthand, the steps and actions taken into creating the food that they will inevitably enjoy. Each component of the restaurant can accommodate and captivate a variety of different customers, while upholding and preserving the wonderful quality of the food.

Kishuya’s “Shoyu-Tonkotsu” ramen is prepared in a unique manner creating a rich and smooth taste, intertwined with flavors of pork and soy sauce, topped with pork chashu (roasted sliced pork), ni tamago (soft boiled seasoned egg), naruto (thinly sliced fishcake), menna (fermented bamboo shoot), nori (dried seaweed sheet), and scallions.

Kogashi can be considered the staple ramen of Kishuya. Utilizing the Shoyu Tonkotsu broth, the distinguished Kogashi ramen is made with a unique “Kogashi garlic paste,” adding a new dimension of flavor. In addition, the Kogashi ramen comes with a large variety of tasteful toppings.

Kishuya can be set apart from many other ramen restaurants due to its ability to provide various types of unique noodles, varying in their consistency. In particular, Kishuya’s very own Tantanmen ramen showcases a thicker, bolder noodle to complement its spicy and powerful broth. These temomi noodles perfectly capture the plethora of spicy, creamy and flavorful taste that is the Tantanmen, making this dish one of the most popular ramen sold here at Kishuya.

Aside from ramen, Kishuya is also considered an “Izakaya,” offering a wide selection of innovative side dishes. In this way, the needs of any customer can be accommodated here at Kishuya.
