Sign on line petition: continuous sidewalk on central ave...HAT's OFF TO HARTSDALE KIWANIS CLUB
Release Date: June 03, 2015

The Hartsdale Park Civic Association met with me on Saturday afternoon and encouraged me to press New York state to fill in the gaps --and have a continuous sidewalk from White Plains to Hartsdale to Edgemont and Yonkers. About two years ago NYS built sidewalks on parts of Central Ave but left out sections.  Walking or bicycling on Central Ave is EXTREMELY dangerous.

One of the student interns working in my office, Arshia Ghodsi of Dobbs Ferry (he will be attending Mercy College next year) started an on line petition which I hope you will sign.  Let's organize an aggressive initiative. Ask your friends to sign and spread the news about the petition.

Here is the page for the petition: https://www.change.org/p/andrew-cuomo-andrea-stewart-cousins-thomas-abinanti-william-gorton-fill-in-the-gaps-and-have-a-continuous-sidewalk-from-white-plains-to-greenburgh-to-yonkers

The Kiwanis Club of Hartsdale just celebrated its 59th year!  The Club just became a Model Legacy Club for the Kiwanis International sponsored EliMiNaTe program.  The Hartsdale Kiwanis pledged to raise funds for this project.  Maternal and neonatal tetanus is a deadly disease that affects newbown mothers and their infants.  The Hartsdale Kiwanis committed to raise over $17,000 and was given five years to meet this goal.  The club met its goal in less than three years and has now attained Legacy Club status.   Neo-natal tetanus is being eliminated with the help of Kiwanis programs world-wide.

During this past year, the Kiwanis Club of Hartsdale has--
-sponsored programs at both senior centers in Greenburgh
