Welcome new businesses! RaaSA-ELMSFORD RESTAURANT...ARTISTIC ENDEAVOR IRVINGTON
Release Date: May 13, 2015

WELCOME RaaSA, ELMSFORD RESTAURANT,  ARTISTIC ENDEAVOR  IRVINGTON

On Wednesday, May 13th from 5:30 to 8 PM the Town of Greenburgh will be holding our new residents reception --recognizing new residents of the town.  The event is being held at AF Veteran Park, off of Heatherdell Road in Ardsley. Town Clerk Judith Beville is coordinating the activities.

It's important to also recognize some of the new businesses in town. If you know of new businesses in the town that deserve to be introduced to the community - please e mail me information. I will periodically recognize them in upcoming alerts. Opening up a business in town requires passion, hard work and confidence in the community. It's important for the community to be supportive  of our local businesses --if they succeed, our local economy will be stronger! And, they'll spread the word about how great it is to open up businesses in our town. The result: fewer vacancies. E mail contact info for new businesses that deserve to be introduced  to pfeiner@greenburghny.com

On Tuesday, May 12th I attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new restaurant in Elmsford called RaaSa located on Route 119. The event made official the re-launch of a business under new ownership, with a Michelin Star awarded and James Beard Foundation recognized executive chef at the helm. The restaurant is located in the building that used to house Malabar Hill. The menu, décor and restaurants mission are all new. Ashok Salian is the new owner. Chef Peter Beck is the renowned chef.

Another new business opened up in Irvington called Artistic Endeavor.  Isa Hetzel selected the Bridge Street property in Irvington because he loved the large space and community.

Isa has been doing professional interior design for more than 30 years, and with a background in drawing/painting and design, decided to try a gallery/arts space.  For the past 6 years, he has  been involved in costume design and construction for one of the Clocktower Groups, and so this element is integrated as well.

So the concept is beautiful, handmade things....of all kinds.  Give artists of all kinds a venue for their things.  they sell some gorgeous stuff - gifts, things for oneself.

You can visit the website   Home | Artistic Endeavor at Riverfields Studio | Irvington, New York  or also on Facebook...where you can see more.
