Woodlands hS grad appointed a Judge...Greenburgh school to select competitor for spelling bee

A number of Woodlands High School alumni are making it big! One of the recent success stories: Guy Mitchell, son of Napoleon Mitchell (who has served on the Greenburgh Police Advisory Board for many years and who has been very active in many aspects of community life) has been appointed a NYC Criminal Court Judge. The Greenburgh School district, in cooperation with the Theodore Young Community Center, will decide who will be sent to the national spelling bees this Friday night after a competition is held at the Bailey School. A link to last year's story about a 4th grader who reached the impressive round 4 of the national competition in Washington can be found below.  The spelling bee competition highlights how smart some of our young people are!  And, what a good education they are receiving.
