FIRE WORKS! Dobbs, Irvington & Tarrytown on July 4th...Greenburgh on the 19th...tomorrow Kensico
Release Date: July 02, 2014

The town of Greenburgh will hold our 2nd annual fireworks celebration on July 19th--family day at 9 PM at AF Veteran park.  Rain date is July 20th around 9 PM.  Last year we did not provide neighbors with adequate advance notice. We're going to order some signs and place them at strategic locations near the park so no one will be surprised. And--will get the word out early. We learned from last years experience.

Dobbs Ferry will not have fire works on July 4th because their waterfront park is being renovated. The village of Irvington is having a fire works celebration on July 4th around 9 PM. Matthiesson Park is only open to residents of the village of Irvington. But, Scenic Park (just a few seconds away) is open to everyone. You can get great views of the fireworks from Scenic Park (next to the Red Hat Restaurant).

The following info: from theHudsonIndendent.Com: The Village of Tarrytown, in conjunction with the Village of Sleepy Hollow, will be conducting an Independence Day fireworks display.

The display is scheduled for dusk on July 4 and the fireworks will be shot off from the General Motors property. There are no specific viewing locations established for the display. There is no rain date scheduled as of yet, and when it is scheduled, notice will be provided on the website and scroll www.tarrytowngov.com.

Meanwhile, Westchester County will be presenting its annual Music Fest & Fireworks show on July 3 at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and the Stolen Moments Band takes the stage at 8 p.m.; fireworks will follow at approximately 9:15 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Carpooling is suggested. Concert-goers should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating as well as a picnic supper.
The Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.
