Good news...Mrs. green's to occupy Mort Williams vacant storefront
Release Date: May 23, 2013

I am very pleased to share some more good news with residents. Mrs. Green’s has obtained a demolition permit and will be opening a new store at 381 393 N Central Ave, Hartsdale –the site previously occupied by Mort Williams.   Mort Williams vacated the property about 2 years ago. It’s always exciting to see vacant storefronts replaced by vibrant quality new tenants!
Mrs. Green’s Natural Market  is a one stop for natural, organic food and supplements. They carry a huge selection of wheat free, dairy free, vegan , low carb, kosher products, etc. They  carry only the freshest , certified organic produce.   We welcome Mrs. Green’s to this location.
PAUL FEINER

A GREAT WAY FOR NEIGHBORHOODS TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER…
Paul,

The Juniper Hill Civic Association has been experimenting with a computer service called Nextdoor (nextdoor.com).  Nextdoor is a Facebook-like social networking service for neighborhoods in the United States. It allows users to connect with other people who live within the boundaries of their neighborhood.  Neighbors can send each other e-mails, announce events, share documents, report crime and safety issues, put up items for sale, etc.  We've established a site for the Juniper Hill neighborhood that seems to be promising.  Information that is posted to the site is private, and available only to verified residents of the neighborhood (although they are working on ways to share information with adjacent neighborhoods).  The site administrator establishes the boundaries for the neighborhood.

You might want to pass this information on to other civic associations and neighborhood leaders who may want to establish a Nextdoor site for their own neighborhood.  Right now Nextdoor is free and, so far, without advertising, although I am sure that will change as the developers find ways to monetize it.

Best,

Seth Segall
