NEW POLICY--- REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS TO BE POSTED ON TOWN WEBSITE --GOAL: MORE VENDORS WILL BID ON CONTRACTS
At times the town hires engineers, attorneys, consultants, tree cutting companies, etc.. for special projects. We issue RFP (requests for proposals) to vendors who have requested to be on our lists. However--there may be others (who we are not aware of) who might be interested in bidding for the contract. We want to make our process more open --and also want to encourage more bidding. We will now be posting all RFPs on the town website: www.greenburghny.com. If you have a business check out the website periodically. If you have a business and would like to be notified of opportunities - you can also e mail me or send me information about your business and I will forward the information to the appropriate department.
PRE K PLAYGROUND
At our last meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board the Board voted to authorize the use of non taxpayer dollars to build a pre K playground at the Greenburgh Nature Center. Playground to be installed this year.
JOB CLUB HAS MORE SUCCESSES
