Unfortunately, IGA Supermarket on E Hartsdale Ave will close before the end of the month. Rents were too high. I've been trying for almost a year to save the supermarket. But, unfortunately, was unsuccessful. I have been in touch with area supermarkets asking if they deliver. DeCicco's in Scarsdale delivers groceries. There is also another company PEAPOD (l-800-573-2763) that delivers groceries from Shoprite stores. The web site is www.peapod.com
The Town is already offering transportation to seniors from the E. Hartsdale area every Friday at 8:30am to area shopping centers. Call 693-8997 for information and reservations.
